The Assurance ComforTred Touring is Goodyear's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of mid-range and upscale coupes, sedans and minivans. The Assurance ComforTred Touring was designed to combine looks, ride comfort and long wear with all-season traction, even in light snow.
The Assurance ComforTred Touring features a mildly asymmetric tread design that combines independent shoulder blocks with notched intermediate and center ribs to blend dry and wet road traction and handling. Four wide circumferential grooves evacuate water from under the tread to enhance wet traction while the tread grooves, notches and sipes form biting edges that deliver all-season traction in light snow.
The tires' internal construction includes a super shock absorbent Comfort Layer of rubber sandwiched between the tread and steel belts (that provides on average, 20% more cushion than standard auto tires) to insulate vibration and impacts with expansion joints, potholes and bumps. The tires also feature Goodyear's dual-layer ComfortEdge sidewall supports to provide a balance of ride comfort and handling.
The Assurance ComforTred Touring features an internal structure that includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon on top of a polyester cord body to combine strength and durability with a smooth ride.

That is too much in my opinion. Considering you can buy a set of newer style LS430 wheels or even GS350 and IS350 wheels with tires in the $500-$850 range, I find his price a little high.

A fair price would be in the $500-$800 range. The price depends on wheel and tire condition, style of wheel, and the type of finish on the wheel.

Appreciate the input.

The sets of newer style LS430 GS350 IS350 wheels with tires in the $500 -$850 range -- Did you see them here on this forum or eBay or Craigslist? Just trying to expand my search and get the best deal possible for the cleanest set.

Thanks!

I bought 4 pristine OEM 17 inch wheels with Dunlop Winter Sport 3D snow tires for $500. The wheels were in excellent condition and the tires had been used one season for about 5,000 miles. The seller even included the Tire Rack storage bags.

That said, I think the price is high. Also, as the second owner you won't get the benefit of the tire warranty.

Was this on Craigslist or are there better deals on eBay?

I don't know that I'd say the asking price is ridiculous, but I do think you should be able to do bette without working too hard.

You're welcome!

I saw them on Craigslist and on here. I actually got my set of IS350 wheels with two sets of tires off of here about two years ago for $680 shipped from a member in Florida. My friend has also bought a few sets of IS350 for $300 a set from a few local IS owners.

As far as GS and LS wheels go, they seem to go for a little bit less since they aren't as in demand as the IS wheels. You may get lucky and find a set really cheap on Craigslist or even on here.

Here is my excperience. I looked in Toronto for 6 months - maybe longer - for exactly the same thing, and the price for used OEM 17" LS wheels and tires was $1,200. I used Craigslist and Kijiji. I looked for OEM and aftermarket wheels. When I found OEM wheels, the tires included were almost always winters, or cheap all season tires. The wheels I went to see were in acceptable condition for use as winter wheels, none were in excellent condition to use as summer wheels. ( Some of the sellers would remove the used winter tires for me but still wanted full price for the wheels ! )

I just didn't see the point of buying used at this price. I wasn't really saving enough to make it "worth it ".

I shopped around this spring and bought new aftermarket Akita wheels and brand new Michelin Primacy V-rated rubber. The bill was $1,625 with taxes, installation and balancing. My new wheels are nicer than the used Lexus wheels and I paid $ 500 for them - so they were less $ than used, uglier OEM Lexus wheels !

These are Canadian prices - I know in the USA you can do the same for even less !

Here are my new wheels and tires.

I'd get the 18inch sport wheel that mine came with! They look much nicer and give the car a nice stance.

I have some five spokes just like the ones on that black LS for sale. I live on the Naperville-Aurora border.

That seems like a fair deal. Those wheels look awesome in chrome.

Great deal! Where did you get them? I have 16in stock wheels that have chrome flaking and looking to go to 17in (no chrome) but do I need to change anything other than wheels and tires? Will it effect headlight aiming or brakes or anything else?
