Default Stuck spark plug

So I did the driver side spark plugs yesterday. All of them came out easily and went back easily and I ended up starting a little late so as it got dark I decided to call it a night and tackle the passenger side today. When I went back out there I tried to pull off the farthest back passenger side plug and it seemed to be a little stuck. I was at a weird angle so I wasnt able to get much pressure on it but after working it for a minute it seemed to come loose but whatever was happening it didnt feel like it was unscrewing. I was able to get about one full rotation before it started feeling "crunchy" or catching, not sure exactly how I would put it. Anyways, Ive sprayed some WD-40 on there and Im hoping that the threads are not stripped. Im not sure if the plugs have ever been changed as the only service I didnt get was the 90k and that sounds like its when they are normally done, car is at 120k right now, I just got another shop to do the timing belt/water pump. So I guess best case scenario is that the plug is just stuck and that it will come out after letting the WD-40 soak in, worst case would be that the threads are already totally stripped out... How much would it cost to get new threads or a heli-coil? Im guessing alot....

Do not force it. My advice is to do the other plugs but leave that one alone for now and take it to dealer and ask them to remove it. If you break that plug, snap it or round the nut edges somehow it could be a bear to actually remove. If the treads were stripped or cross threaded when it was installed you likely should leave it alone and let dealer fix it unless you have the skills and tools to repair the head in your garage.

Tell them you had a problem and let them inspect it and hopefully remove it for you. They do the plugs everyday and have run into difficult plugs before and know just how much force is enough and how much it too much.

Yea I hope I just didnt already put to much force on it. I couldnt really tell how hard it was to unscrew since my hand was at such a weird angle and it didnt feel like I was pushing that hard but just the fact that it twisted a little and definitely didnt feel like it was unscrewing scares me. I guess I should have just gone to the dealer in the first place...

you most likely had the socket at a angle.i dought you stripped or broken anything.i would use a 3/8" drive with a swivel attached to your ratchet and make shore you have the socket all the way on there and give it a try.
