Still can't get the %$#@&* Trunk Open!!!!
How you close a trunk lid becomes such a natural thing that you don't even think how you do it. I had to go close my trunk lid to determine how I do it.
I pull the trunk lid down by the catch provide on the upper inside of the trunk and let it gently fall as I withdraw my hand. I then catch the lower lip of the trunk as I withdraw my hand at about 4 to 6 inches before full closure, stopping the fall and then allowing it to close on its own from that position. That stops the lid from a hard closure and allows the automatic closure to function as intended. I never let the trunk have a hard, slamming closure.
