Default Proposed wheel specs - thoughts?

So I picked up a set of used wheels that were beat up, and I'm in the process of researching how to rebuild them.

Current specs of the wheels:

20x9 +31 / Hi disc / 2" lip
20x10 +25 / Lo disc / 3.5" lip

If I disassemble the wheels and use the 3.5" lips from the REARS and move them to the FRONTS, that will change the FRONT to a:

20x10.5 +12 / Hi disc / 3.5" lip

And if I put a 4.5" lip on the REAR that will make it

20x11 +12 / Lo disc / 4.5" lip

Or if I want a 5" lip on the REAR that will make it

20x11.5 -1 / Lo disc / 5" lip

Thoughts?? Opinions??

Your going to need to a lot of camber and a pull to get it to fit. Are your fenders already shaved and pulled?

Fronts are shaved and rears are rolled. I don't mind doing some work to get them to fit. Just need to step the game up a bit and keep up with some of these Refined Elegance guys

I wanted to go more aggressive on my latest set of wheels but didnt want to mod the fenders too much.

Wait for Sojah to chime in. He is really good with calculating these kinds of things. Also MC3 Wheels is another place to start.

the rear 20x11 +12 / Lo disc / 4.5" lip will stick out roughly .62" from flush with a shaved fender and stock camber arms when its relatively slammed on coilovers. this is definitely doable. just add the 5mm longer than stock arms and then you are only left with a 11mm pull or .43" rather... i vote for this one since it is a lot more reasonable then....

Or the other option the 20x11.5 -1 / Lo disc / 5" lip would stick out 1.3" past flush with stock arms and blah blah blah but if you put the 5mm longer than stock arms on it adding 5mm of camber you would still have 30mm or 1.18" of additional clearance needed via a pull or straight up new fenders welded on.

^ ^ ^ but this is not taking the difference of the disc into consideration so figure out how much additional offset the low disc saves you cuz it may not be that much difference, if the low disc is say 15mm thinner difference then you almost get an extra half inch of lip for free... so either way the low disc is the better choice if you are sure you have enough clearance...

can you measure how much space you clear the calipers by presently in the rear???

the front may have issues more than the rear or may require more modding than the rear.

how do you get 20x10.5 +12 / Hi disc / 3.5" lip for the front by moving the rear barrels to the front; what is your math on this???

assuming your math is correct you will have about 30mm poke (more than flush) (again with shaved fenders) on your front. i don't think you will be able to turn very well.

did you put the ss pro kit on or the wheel realignment things on to place the wheel back to the center of the wheel well in the front???

what size tires on the front and on the rear are you thinking about?

since you are on air and if you drive a lot higher than me you may be better off when trying to turn

20x9 +31 with a 2" lip
2" outer lip
7" inner lip

I'm not swapping full barrels, just outer piece. Remove the 2" lip and replace with a 3.5" lip, increases the overall width to 10.5. For every inch of additional width you decrease offset by 13mm. So an increase of 1.5" would decrease offset by 19mm from +31 to +12.

My current wheel setup which fits is a 20x9 +12 in the front. According to http://www.1010tires.com/wheeloffsetcalculator.asp a change from 9" +12 to 10.5" +12, the outer position extends an additional 19mm. I should be able to fit that with a pull. If I do a 20x11 rear, it will extend an additional 18mm. More pull & camber to fit.

I do have SS Kit Pro, so no more caster issues.

Not sure on tire sizes yet, will do a good stretch...maybe a 235/255

i know cuz i've seen it done where you can pull the rear fenders out a bit, but i am not sure how you will get a 19mm pull out of the front. if you give 5mm more negative camber that will be a 14mm pull needed. i'd like to see the process for pulling the front by anything more than 5mm... good luck...

Isn't the general rule that for every degree of negative camber, you gain 5mm in clearance?

i know that if you add 5mm more negative camber you get 5mm more clearance. don't measure it in degrees, measure it in mm of added or reduced camber

I talked to you guys MC3 couple weeks ago on the phone.

Picked up a set of 20" weds kranze wheels. They have a weird bolt pattern for the lip components.

did you already test fit the fronts to clear the calipers? cause if they dont clear you obviously need to factor in the spacer as well

my 19x 9.5 0 offset ssr's sticks out roughly 15mm past the stock fender (thats with around -3 camber)

they are high disk pads in front, so clearance isn't an issue.
