alternative to jacking up the car

I've tried using concrete pavers/bricks before, but they slide sometimes when going up them. A pressure treated 2x6 works better, but that isn't wide enough and doesn't give enough height. I haven't found a set of ramps that are low enough to clear the bumper and wide enough for the tires, and make me feel as secure, if not more than using a jack under the subframe + stands at the lift points.
