Polish Stock rims?

Default Polish Stock rims?

Has anyone tried this on the stock rims that the ls430 comes on not the chrome one but the alloy ones,i would like some input, im thinking of doing this till i save up and get the rims i really want. im thinking of doing it on the spare to see how it come out first.

I think the stock non chrome rims are painted but I could be wrong

i would try a wheel on the car first,if you screw it up you will have a newer wheel to put back on.

All I do is put a couple coats of wax on my wheels when I wax the car and it really makes them shine.

The non chromes are pretty shiny already when they're clean. I can always see a good amount of light reflected off mine.

Bad idea, you can do it but then it will be constant maintainance.

some people have tried this on their frames on my motorcycle forum. You need to start off with ez off oven cleaner to get through the outer coating. Then polishing will take awhile. And theres nothing that you can apply to the aluminum that protects it as well as factory. So you will be repolishing often.

I've used Zaino car polish on painted alloy wheels and they turned out quite shiny. I wash with Dawn, clay, wash with Z7, polish / buff multiple coats of Z5, and flash with Z6.

When I first read this thread title, I was reminded our our new member in the Netherlands and wondered what kind of alloy wheels they use in Poland. Doh!

that y i gt the idea from i polished the frame on my gsxr and it came out nice .yeah i would b cleaning my car often so it ok , thanks i aint kno about the oven cleaner ,i used airplane paint stripper, hoppefully ill start it on the spare on tuesday
