my first Lexus
Thank you brio_ls.
What a good idea to scan the colours in the brochure to be able to compare them.
I only have two (Dutch) brochures of the LS430: 2001 and 2004.
In 2001 the choice (effectively) was between ivory and black. ("op speciale bestelling" = on special order)
But it appears that the 2001 "ivory" (04) is not the same as the 2004 "ivory" (07)!
The 2001 ivory (04) is not available any more in 2004.
2001:

and 2004:

Taken into consideration the bad reproduction quality of the brochures and the scanners, only the colour numbers can tell us anything reliable I suppose.
So:
00 = Ecru (NL) = Cavan (UK)
07 = Ivory (NL) = Connaught (UK)
10 = Grey (NL) = Oban (UK)
24 = Black (NL) = Rushmore (UK)
I like the UK names. Can you elucidate where they originate from?
I was not able to find the US names so far.
The only coulour for the wood trim with Ivory (07) was "esdoorn" = maple, so in my car it has to be maple.
@sojah: thanks.
brio_ls, would you be so kind to look up the UK name for paint colour 8P8 ?
Would be nice to know what name it has in your country!

Congratulations! Many of us believe you have the finest model Lexus has ever built (with a nod to the LS400 as possibly even exceeding it in some ways).
Lexus pulls out all the stops with the LS - it shows them at their absolute best any given year - so with this experience you will know what Lexus is about and can compare better to other brands.

Thank you.
Comparing the colours of the brochure with the real leather, shows that the real colour is somewhere in between Ecru (00) and Ivory (07).
Taking the unreliable print quality into consideration, it tells us very little.
From most owners I understand that the leather does not discolour a great deal over time. So we can conclude that the colour samples in the brochure are just an indication, and nothing more.
