Default Need opinions on Wald kit

I drive a Crystal White Pearl 04 LS430. Just got a Wald lip kit from Japan for a great deal.

Paint the center section of the rear bumper black or leave all the same color? Painting would give it a more sporty feel...can't decide.

If you have black accents or plan to put them on the lip kit, painting the rear would look good. Depending on tastes, the faux carbon fiber accents on the kit might be a nice alternative too. My thought, paint it solid and then have a skilled clear bra installer apply matte black there and other spots that may suit your tastes. If you don't like it, easily removed.

Leave it, the contrast looks really sharp on such a light color.

the reason you can't decide is because it really makes no difference at all !

I had black accents on my last car, but it was quite a bit sportier.

Paint it your color then add the black vinyl to the center this way if you want to go back you can just remove the vinyl later on.

dude thats a tough one, and with your previous 20's i would have said black for sure, but now with your new look i'm leaning more towards just pure luxo status so the non painted would achieve that better in my opinion. if its the exe then stay with the non sporty look. what theme are you going for? sometimes less is more

i had a white gs400 previously and started going black accents and before i knew it i woke up one day and my car was all riced out.

Damn, that is a tough call, it looks great in both cases! depends on the wheel and accents on the car as a whole IMO.

That made me laugh ! But you are so right.
In the end, as long as the car's owner likes it, its all good.

The LS430 is one classy ride stock, so adding anything to it has got to blend in with the conservative luxurious styling ..... and lets face it, most modifications, especially body kits are made to be very noticeable.

I think it all depends on what look you are going for... black = sportier and silver = classy. Rims and kit will obviously play a role.

Here's a pic of my x5 with the center section painted black (as it sits now). Gives it a much sportier look
