Strange LED bulb

Had purchased some LED's (BA9 w/7 leds each) to install in the interior of the wife's LS. Front 2 map lights worked fine. Installed 1 in the driver's side (rear map light) and the center LED glows a faint light even when there is no power. Tried 2 different bulbs and both were the same. Never saw a light bulb burn, even partially, without power. I didn't leave them installed. The original bulb works fine. Strange!

Obviously there is still a trace amount of power coming through that one socket. Not enough by a longshot to illuminate an incandescent filament but a single, extremely low power LED I can believe.
