I've been pleased with the Covercraft Dustop for garage storage of my summer cars. They have kept the dust off, don't scratch the paint, and fold up into a small space. If you need a waterproof cover for outside storage, choose something else.

Is this one specifically for the LS430 or does it fit many models? How much does it run?

I use www.autoanything.com and they have a good selection. You can get the good covers customized to whatever car you have. Years ago, I was advised to buy the cover designed for my need - inside, outside, sun, rain, snow, kids with bikes, etc. Don't buy a super-duper outside cover when all I need is something to keep the dust off the car during the winter while in storage.

I bought the OEM one from Sewell Lexus. It's specifically for the LS430 and fits extremely snug. It has specific sections for the side mirrors and the roof antenna. You're supposed to fit the antenna and then the mirrors before pulling down the rest of the cover.

I'd take a pic of it for you, but my car is sitting 1200km from where I am right now

Does the OEM one have a cable lock option?

I see it on Sewell's site for $300.

Check out bigskycarcovers.com........

You can plug in your car make and model and it will allow you to choose from the many different fabric types. It gives explanations of the different fabrics and respective uses.

good luck!

No cable lock per se for the OEM cover.

There's this "storage pouch" that comes as part of the cover. You're supposed to lock the pouch in your trunk before you unfold the rest of the cover, and that serves as anti-theft protection.

There are also two small loops at the bottom sides of the middle of the cover (between the front/rear doors). There's a string included that you can use to tie between both loops for extra protection against wind.

Also, if you register with your CL username at Sewell's website, it'll knock the price of the cover down to just under $240.

I just bought one from Ebay.

Though I own an LS400, they might make one for the LS430.

many owners consider the oem porsche-style "genuine lexus" custom-fit cover the gold standard because it features a license plate window and heat-resistant patches for the exhaust however for superior all-weather protection most enthusiasts on clublexus recommend the covercraft weathershield hp as it is incredibly lightweight sheds water instantly and folds up much smaller than the bulky oem fabric if you store your ls430 strictly indoors a satin stretch cover from covercraft or carcovers.com will provide the softest dust protection without the stiffness of an outdoor material give your ls430 the protection it deserves
