The plate mounted EZ passes are a big scam. The EZ pass authority and police are in kahuts to give out tickets that hopefully people do not dispute. My brother-in-law has a plate mounted pass and it blocks just a little bit of the top edge of the plates. Anyway, a northern county cop busted him for having obstructed plates. Are you kidding me???

Anyway, he went to court, got it thrown out, but OF COURSE, had to pay the "court fee" for showing up and disputing. It's a big cam... if you can, just use the window mounted.

I had posted I put behind the rear view mirror on right side... it's on left side actually (driver's side). The other side has the windshield rain detector (if you have it). So, it basically blocks the sun from that open area, so you don't need the little sun cover lip above the mirror.

 

Has anyone tried to paint their EZ Pass? I have an 04 Silver with black interior and would love to have the EZ Pass match the interior color...so it's not so noticeable on the windshield. Just don't know if the EZ Pass transmitter will work through paint.

 

I suppose one of the (few) good things about living in MI is you can keep your car looking clean. No front plates or EZpasses/Fast Passes needed.
