Ok im lost! can someone explain what the Navtool is and does?
its a video coverter that uses wire that runs from navigation unit to the touch screen. at a flip of a switch or when reverse lights come on it cuts the feed from nav and replaces it with feed from camera or other video signale.

So it injects the measuring lines onto the display using the original rear camera or is a aftermarket camera used? I understand the video function but im really interested in the "lines".

*it uses rca video signal, so any camera with RCA for video cable will work
think of a nav tool as a "T" in a wire
and when the "T" is activated it changes signal from one video signal to another.
