Default Doors lock when I open trunk.

Actually, they lock sometimes even without opening the trunk. The problem is that this is a random thing and so far I haven't been able to make it happen at the dealers, so, he thinks I'm crazy.

I spoke to a non-Lexus mechanic the other day who said that this is a common problem and "they know it."

Anyone else ever had this problem?

when im outside my car and i press the unlock door button and dont open the door and then press the trunk button the door locks itself. try it that way. i think they could change that at the dealer.

I know that these cars exhibit weird symptoms when the battery is on it's last leg. Weird stuff that one would not expect to see- but they do. people have reported that problems they had with the car, like steering wheel memory etc not working, fixed themselves after they installed a new battery. Maybe this is related too. Also check the battery of the keyfob- it could be a cheap fix!

If you use your remote to unlock the doors and you don't open a door within 20-30 sec. they will lock themselves - just in case you press the wrong button when walking away from the car after locking it.
