Lost both Smart Keys
Help - after a family gathering this weekend where I loaned out my LS430 to others, we have lost two smart keys (my only two smart keys). I am down to my valet key. Any ideas on how to replace these inexpensively?? THANKS!

Go HERE and place an order for two new ones with a cut, you will have to provide proof you own the car before they cut the keys. Sewell has the cheapest SK i have seen brand new, i would stay off of ebay due to not knowing whay you are getting.
You can get the dealer to reflash the ECU to program it or have a locksmith do it for cheaper. Good luck!

My dealer wants $100 to "program" the key!!! And they "hesitate" to do it if I didn't buy the key from them! Can you imagine?
Anyway, if I get one from Sewell, is this the one that can be programmed at home by opening and closing the door six times, jumping in a circle and shouting, then sprinkling pixie dust to the for compass points? Or is there actually some mechanical device needed that only a locksmith/dealer has?
Thanks.

i wonder if you can upgrade to the newer smart key fob, or smart card, i'm sure the cost is comparable... since you dont need to insert the key into ignition anyway...

My Dealer here wants 126 not sure if its cut or not. And they want 60 to program it. For an 05 LS the programing the key is the Open the drivers door 2 times and close it..ect I found it searching here. But you say something about re flashing the ECU to program??
Is that right?

Is the cheapest place I found for they key, no idea if its new or used.
All I need is the outer case for one of my keys, since the transmitter inside works fine. But they don't sell the case alone.

I know on the non-smart key cars, if you lose both master keys and only have a valet, the only way to get a new master key is to buy a new ECU, which comes w/ 2 keys. Toyota/Lexus has a policy that they will replace the ECU (w/ keys) once in the life of the car, but the owner pays the labor (ECU is sometimes under the dash). I would first try to retrieve the lost keys from family members. Otherwise, tell them they'll have to foot the bill for new keys!
