Default Fresh Oil... Removal Advice?

The diligent city workers were out fixing potholes this morning. There wasn't a warning sign and just as I turned right I saw directly in front of me the 4x6ft repair area. I am still kicking myself for not swerving a bit more but my driver's side wheels went over the area.

Just my luck there was an Exxon Valdez sized excess they didn't dump gravel or crush rock on and some spatter got into the wheel wells and down the bottom of the side panels.

I used soap and hot water and was able to get virtually all of it off. I was just wondering if anyone had advice on how they've gone about removing this stuff in case I find any more small bits.

It's also pothole repair season (in places that see winter) so the advice may be helpful to others if they have the same misfortune. Thanks in advance!

If it's on the body, I use a cloth soaked with Varsol (Mineral Spirits) followed by washing and rewaxing that area.

I have had good luck with mineral spirits and WD40. Be careful to turn you cloth often in order not to scratch the finish. I would wash and wax after the process.
