Default amp install- tapping rear fuse box or ML amp

I want to replace the ML 8" sub with an old Nakamichi SP-80 I have and run a 100w rms mono amp to it. I want to avoid running power wire from the battery. Actually, that would cause me to scrub the project. Anyone successfully tapped the rear fuse box or ML amp to power their amp?

The electrical system wasn't designed for you to be adding an additional amplifier. You could tap in somewhere and then blow fuses, and if you use a bigger fuse you might cause problems.. I would do it the correct way and run a dedicated power from your battery..
