Set air suspension height to high, safe to jack car?
With the air suspension, is it safe to use a scissor jack on the car when the suspension is set to high? Is there anything in the service manual about this? I will be supplementing the scissor jack with a jackstand..

as long as the jack goes up high enough to get the wheels off the car... why not lower it a little and then jack it up... would be less travel for the jack if you lowered it some.

I would set to highest position so that the suspension is fully extended. You never know when the system still leak, so you don't want it low, then have it jacked and then the suspension slowly drops and you can't get the tire back on.
When raising a car, always use jackstands (if available) and chock the rear wheels to prevent rolling. Applying hand/foot brakes is not always feasable especially if you're removing the rear brake pads.

most systems shouldn't leak but if it did had you had it at a low low setting then there would be less travel since it has no where to go, the higher the setting the more potential room it has to deflate but i've never had this issue.

Also, if the car was raised up on air before jacking, the jack/lift would have to travel that much further to raise the car into the air to lift the tire off the ground. The jack can get pretttty wabbly at the top/near max lift position!

Stan,
Like the other said, there should be no problem using the Scissor jack, no matter what the air suspension height is set at.
The suspension travel is the same so if the jack needs to go up 18 inches to raise the wheel off the ground at the high setting, it would take 18 inches of lift to raise the wheel off the ground even if you dropped the car 6 inches. The difference would be are you jacking up the car the first 6 inches or just raising the jack to meet the frame the first 6 six inches. Granted with the rest of the car lower, it might take a little less to lift the tire off the ground but not a significant amount.
