High Pitched sound in car - is it possible?
We have several cars and just bought a 2006 LS430. Our female dog is very anxious and nervous in the car, she travels great in all the other cars. She reacts the same way she does when the smoke alarm goes off in the house. Very very nervous, panting, pacing, etc. Is it possible there is a sound in the car we don't hear (we have another dog, smoke alarms and car doesn't bother him).
We drive from New England to Florida twice a year and traded our Lincoln for this car. I'm hoping someone can offer me some advice, maybe there needs to be an adjustment with the navigation system or something.
Please help - I don't want to have to tranquilize the little girl!
Thanks so much

Does the dog get anxious only after the car is started? I wonder if it is just the smell of, what I assume is, a new (to you) used car.
If you can't hear anything, recruit a couple teens to sit in the car and listen. They can hear high pitches that adults usually lose the ability to hear.

Does the doggy get nervous while walking out to the vehicle?...or just sitting in the car with the engine off?...or while the engine is running?...or while the car actually in motion?...or all of the above?

high pitched sound - dog anxious
Hi all
thanks for your replies. I did think of getting a few young kids in the car to listen for a sound, however, now that I think about it and to answer another posters question......
She gets anxious just walking over to the car and won't get in. She is nervous when the car is not running, even with the windows open.
Yesterday, I diconnected the bluetooth. She seems a tiny bit more comfortable, although that could just be resignation.
I ordered something called a "calming collar" which should arrive on Saturday.
Does anyone thing the navigation system could be emitting a sound?
