Default UL AIR SUSPENSION other options..

hey guys...

been catching up on lot of threads re: LS 430... not too comforting to hear about possible problem with the air suspension in UL down the road.... Just want to evaluate my options if it does occur...

what are the options.. besides of course repairing per oem which is costly... can u go to components of say the lower models like custom luxury or moder??

OR
switch to complete new coilover

OR switch to air .....

are coilover and/or air runner even poss with UAL..??
Please advise and in detail... as to what it takes & costs to switch out the UL air susp to the lower model one or aftermarket coil or air..

bnr34 on here switched out from UL air to coilvers so check for his diy thread.

like you said your options are to either put in normal suspension components, switch to aftermarket air which is prolly 4-6k depending on which kit you buy and then the normal install for that kit, or to repair the malfunctioning piece in the stock air.

hopefully this will never happen but the options are same as any car.

haha... i know what u mean.. hope is doesn't happen either but if it does gotta be ready b/c i hear the car slumps on one side ... so kinda hard to drive it..

so worth paying $$ for datasystem controller or just switch to something of a more permanent solution... b/c don't wanna waste ~$6-800 on the controller... if air goes bad and then have to spend again $$$.

or am i being too pessimistic... ?? and just go with DSC until have a problem..

i say go for the controller until you find out else wise. the resale value on the controller is still pretty good and in high demand so you can always sell the controller at a later date.

I am checking out an 06 CL that supposedly has sport suspension tomorrow...and i'm not sure if the guy even knows if it has it or not. Are there any ways to tell if it has it by lookin/driving it? Does the package only come with 18" wheels? Is it noticeably more bumpy or loud? THANKS.

i think it has sport badges on the front side fenders, besides these (which anyone could technically purchase off of ebay and slap on) i am not sure what else to look for, but that would be my first thing to check. google it...
