OK,

changed out my bulbs, no problem. i had to remove the air filter box, and this hose is coming off it. i cant find out where to reconnect the end? it seems its a vacuum line hose of some sorts. i have looked everywhere, to no avail.

any input is appreciated.

You have the cover removed, so looking at my car is a bit difficult. But I can see that the first hose bend goes downward (not up as you show) towards and beneath the power steering reservior. It then turn downward and slightly towards the cabin and attaches to another steel tube.

If you get the hose over in that area, you should see the connecting tube.

 

got it! thanks. i musts say, only had the car for 8 months or so, but it has been a breeze to work on, very well engineered and thought out. it looks imposing when you pop the hood, but once you dig in, its a snap.
