Default New member suspension question.

Hello everyone. I am a new member. I just bought a 2005 ultra model. Our old 1996 ls was totaled. It had 250k. I find that the new one does not handle rough roads as well. The old one wasuch smoother over the bumps. I have the air suspension with 93k miles. The warranty is good until 100k. The dealer says that nothing is wrong with the suspension. He said there was no fluid leaking and the computer is good. Does the air strut use hydrolic fluid? Does anyone else feel that the old ls400 where smoother over the bumps compared to the new ls430?

Thanks for the help. Should I just replace it to the steel suspension? Where is the best place to buy the parts from and so you guys recommend any mechanic in the Chicago area? Thanks a lot

Three suggestions:

1 - Make sure your suspension switch is not set to sport. (your probably already did this)

2 - Check your tire air pressure. It should be set for what's printed on the sticker on the car, not the max setting molded onto the side of the tire.

3 - Post the brand, model, and full size and speed rating. Previous owners sometimes put hard V or Z rated tires on the car thinking they are better tires or, more often, used car dealers put on cheap Chinese tires.
