Much too high for premium... you can get a CL for that price. The only thing with the LS430 is that off-lease vehcles are pretty much done, so what you'll get are just a trickle of returns and then of course the private owner market.
Honestly, not many people buy the LS430 pre-owned and then turn and get rid of it real fast, unless it has issues. Seeing a good LS430 in market will probably just get tougher from here on, until another 5-6 years, but then the 2nd or 3rd owners would have put on more miles and you'd be looking in 90K miles range.
Someone had mentioned CPO not worth it. For premiium, I don't think it's worth it either. $2500K extra for warranty and you probably will NEVER see in a premium. No nav, no ML, no "goodies" means that what can break? A window actuator at $500? You have to have all four go and still not be even.
I bought an 04 premiun, merc matallic and black with smart key and chrome wheels for $17,500 with 55 k on it a year ago. It was a calif. car I bought from a small dealer with all the Lexus maintanence reciepts clean carfax one owner. I drive 30 k a year it is almost ready for a t belt. Not a single problem since new.
Like LS430inDE said, this makes me wonder about the value of CPO for a low-option LS. It seems to make sense to leave the money in the bank rather than buy an expensive insurance policy. I don't think I'd take that risk if buying buying a used European or American luxury car.
I just bought an 05 LS430 a month ago it's Mercury Metallic (1F2) with black interior... love this color combo. It has 155k and I picked it up for 8,000K and 1000 shipped from Florida. Has absolutely zero rust.
Rides extremely well... Plan on doing the timing belt/water pump and all the pulleys as well as the exterior belt and pulleys. Replace all fluids and two drain and fills on transmission with a filter replacement on the second go around, might do 3? Also replace valve cover seals and spark plug seals as well put in new spark plugs. And I have a new radiator and hoses.... And replace all the brakes and rotors... have Bosch quiet rotors and Akebono pads.
Put it on the road after that, should be good for another 100k without any needs except for oil changes. and have a couple little interior issues that are manageable....
I thought I would get rid of my 11 es350 matador red with ecru leather but I'm thinking I can't part ways with that car either..... lol
My 02 Tundra will be the last vehicle I ever sell.... All Japanese for me.... even my White 2024 KLR 650

I had to pass on a number of LS430s here in Florida due to dash bubbles which is basically unrepairable. Recently one had 75,000 miles but I can’t deal with a crappy dash. The sun plays havoc on all cars down here unless garaged.

The dash cost $700. It is no big deal if one can bargain down $1500 for it. Takes 4 hours to replace.
That said, the Sun does not only damage the dash. Many non-metal parts are affected. You do not have rust problems though.

For some perspective, I got an 04 (with smartkey, factory nav mark lev etc) with 59k miles for $16k from a private party. It was dealer serviced and seems garaged all its life.

"4 hours" to replace the dash? Where did you come up with that labor time? Sounds like R&R-ing a LS430 dash, that quick, would result in squeak's , rattles and other problems.
Asking because my 2006 LS430 has some dash bubbles.
