Default Glovebox damage by dealer?

After have some work done behind my glovebox, i'm pretty convinced that the dealer damaged the corner (lower right plastic in the 1st photo). Can anyone take a look and possible post some similar photos of their car?

If others don't look like this, i'm going to head BACk to the dealer and raise some hell.

Also, does the glovebox only open this much (look at second photo)?

Thanks.

just by looking at it they messed something up.. look where they damaged it and follow it all the way back.. youll notice the piece looks like its pooped off or something...

that looks like it has been butchered. mine is clean and lines up tightly. it looks like a bare metal tool was used to pull your panel down and damaged the surrounding trim. i would go back and go directly to the service manager. dont raise hell until they say it was already like that (which they will most likely say). Best of luck.

That trim piece is definitely "broken" but the opening looks to be right. Mine opens not too much either. Looks like they had dirty fingers touching your glove box too...

Wow! Dealer fix! a back yard mechanic can do much better job than that.

may be they put on the glove box bolt in the 10mm but never line up the hook above it.

Correct. It took the car in for the PCS fix and didn't notice until a few days later that this area looked abused. I'm not at all happy about it, but i'm sure they'll fix.

looks like a shade tree level of work,, certainly would be back on the dealer for correction and clean up,, don't know why the Lexus boxes do not open more,, guess it could be a knee banger if the did,, the wife has never complained though as she is the keeper of the area,,
