Mine is shifter smoother at low speed now. Engine rpm is not jumpy anymore.

you guys are really itching me to get this done. So how long did it take you and is this a loaner deal, or have to wait?

Since the warranty was for 96 months and 80k, mine was out of warranty.
It's a 2004 with 110k on it.
I called corp and Lexus corp call the dealership.
They were not able to replicate the issue but did the flash anyway. Free of charge. I was at the dealership for 3 hrs. Didn't ask for a loaner since they did me a favor.

was the problem really noticeable... because mine is hard to notice except when I take a turn, I feel the car want to accelerate more, or the RPM dropping. Is this related to the TSB you guys are talking about. which DMV dealer did you take it to?

Does anyone has a listing of the TSB itself? What is the "hours" quoted for it? I just made an appt. with dealer and it's pretty much "come in and we'll look at it" but I want a headsup to know first what's the deal going.

Thanks.

I was at the dealership for about 3 hrs but on the invoice it's only 1.2 hrs.
I guess they were busy .

Talk to my tech and he said he will take care of it next time i'm in for an oil change, thx for the heads up on this issue. I always thought that was a normal shift thing with the car.

I just got back from the dealer getting the TSB updates and a new air filter, my tech said there was also a engine ECU update that needed to be done. I asked what was it for he said he was not sure but he looked for all the lastest updates and loaded them.

Much better it is smoother and the issue has not shown up again (when turning a corner it jumps up over 2K RPM) so I say it;s fixed.

Nice post. I did notice that the No. 2 TSB 01206 regarding fuel system filling for 2005 LS430 also applies to 2001-2005 LS430s. I noticed this because I have my 2004 LS430 scheduled to have this done next week at my local Lexus dealer. They will do it under warranty.

Do you have a link or direction on were we can obtain copies of the TSBs?

Again, good job of useful information for all of us.
