Default battery under warranty?

i have an '05 that i bought last year. i have the car at the dealership get some warranted maintenance. they called and said that my car is ready but my battery is dead. i have a 100,000 warranty. since i bought the car last year (shouldnt the battery be new?) and is under 100,000 miles, does anyone know if the battery is a warranty item. i cant get to my handbook or papers because they are in the car that is at the dealership. thanks for any info.

If the car was bought under a Lexus CPO warranty, the battery is excluded per this:

A new replacement battery from Lexus will likely cost about $150+ should you need one but suggest you go to Sams Club or COSTCO to get your new replacement batteries since their prices are about half of what Lexus charge and they carry just as good or better replacement warranty on their new batteries not to mention many times their batteries have higher CCA than the factory one. Good luck.
