anybody know what i can use on the top of my windows to make them stop squeaking. does it over rough roads mostly. still annoying. had a loaner today and it didnt do it. so i wonder if i need some kind of solvent/moisturizer for my window. 05 ls 430
I had a similar issue with my 05.. it was the door seals that was causing the squeaking. I used Mothers tire and rubber cleaner on it.. sound was gone. Worked like a charm for about 4 months.
Yes, this drove me nuts for a while too. I use 303 on the door rubber seals after washing the car and wiping down the door jams. I ONLY use 303 because it does not contain silicone. After two times of washing my car and applying 303 I only have to do it about once every 2-3 months now.
Years ago someone told me to spray a real light coating of WD40 in the track and it will stop the noise. I have done it and it works. 303 is also a great product. Just dont coat the glass just the inside of the track.

I "think" we are talking about two different places on the door. I am talking about the seal that goes around the door. The body flex of the car causes that seal to squeak at the top of the door. For that I use the 303.
I "think" you are talking about the window chanel. I have never had an issue of squeaking in that area with any Lexus I have owned, but I have had some old special interest cars that have had an issue with window chanels and the process you described was a great fix.
