Foot well light intensity adjustment

Foot well light intensity adjustment
According to the owner's manual, the "foot well lights" intensity can be adjusted by the dealer. Is there a way I can adjust it myself?

I cannot find that in my manual, and my dealership tells me there is no adjustment. Please let me know if you find out different.

Foot Lights-Intensity Adjustment
See the 2004 LS430 owner's manual, page 114. It says NOTE: *The intensity of the foot lights can be changed. Ask your Lexus dealer for details.

My Lexus dealer isn't sure, but for $60 he'll find out!

My dealer said there is no intensity adjustment, only adjustment is the time delay to dim. They said intensity is a poor word choice when translating from Japanese.
