Default brake pads

are brake pads from napa and/or autozone just as good as the ones from the dealership? they are obviously...cheaper. 05 ls430

I would like to think that unless you go "more expensive" say Brembo or NIKS, that the OEM are the best pads for our vehicles and best balanced. Pepboys, Napa, and "cheaper" are probably not as good in terms of wear or heat discipation.

Anyway, who knows, I use OEM and have never had any issues.

I've used aftermarket on my Integra and for those that grabbed better, they took more wear on the pads and rotors. It's always a give-n-take with anything.
