Hi gang
Got some g,ood input here when looking for an 06 ls. Finally pulled the pin today and picked up silver/with gray intereior, no nav (didnt really want it...but would have liked the back up camera...oh well). 31 k miles , cpo, had 30,000 mile service, new brakes, battery, tires,. Got the maintenance records, florida car, lexus maintained, older gentleman. Price $$32,500.
Great ride , took the old lady out tonite and she was happy. Now to read the manual and figure out all these features....lol

$32500 for the base? Wow... you'll enjoy the ride, but seems like you got taken for a ride first. CPO is good, but since it's a 2006, the base warranty is good until 2010 or 50K, powertrain warranty to 2012 or 70K. In your case, taking CPO meant nothing really... unless you were going to put on 70K in three years.

Oh well, don't mean anything now...

Hey Shifty!...congrats on the new purchase! You will love the car. You DO know that part of membership of the site, and LS family requires you to submit some pictures, right? Seriously, we do love pics, though.

Do you mind me asking, just curious, what you were driving previously?

Congrats Shifty. If you don't have buyers remorse, then the price is fine (though it is on the high end of the price spectrum). yeah, post pics

Sounds like a good car for you. I'm looking to do the same thing this winter. Since I'm a consultant and drive about 25-27K miles a year, I'll be targeting a car with about 25K miles.

Because we LOVE to drive our cars. Factoring out the big Orlando trip we did, I've put on over 16K in 8 months and I have THREE cars that I alternate driving with. I guess it hasn't been an even alternation...

Shifty - the 18" and SmartKey were standalone options, so yes, it's not a "base" base model... Also, if you're doing 24K a year, then the CPO is worth it because it brings you an extra 25K over the standard powertrain. Pretty much you worry about the engine and transmission blowing up, the other items shouldn't amount to the cost of CPO.

Anyway, WHO CARES !!! WE ALL LOVE OUR LS's !!!!!!

Yep. I got my 05 4.5 months ago when it had 8300 miles on it. It now has over 15,300. 7,000 miles in 4.5 months. I hope I don't continue at that rate.
Some of you may remember I bought it from a disabled guy that couldn't drive anymore. It was his pride and joy. He was a nice guy and died from ALS last week.

Good luck and lotsa safe miles with your 06. I think over time the 06 will prove to be the best LS ever. It is a great ride and I, who only put 16k on an M35 in three years, have already put 8k in 7 months on my 06 LS430UL.
I have never enjoyed driving a car more. You are going to love it.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to our little corner of the Internet. For a 2006 with such low miles, you got a great car. Which part of VA are you in by the way?

Congrats on your 2006 purchase. I can share your excitement,I just picked up my 2006 this afternoon. This vehicle is a joy to run, It's such a refined and beautifully resolved drive train, that it delights the senses. It is very upgraded in most ways compared to my outgoing 2001LS ( I truly felt it couldn't possibly get any better), but it did. I won't bother talking about the price I paid, and trade value etc, because aside from our lower Canadian dollar, cars are way more expensive up here, and that's just the way it's always been. I did get an extended warantee package included in the deal, and that gives me a great deal of comfort. Best of luck with your vehicle...enjoy
