Default New used LS 430 advice

Hi Everyone

I am new to this forum since it my first LS430. I had an RX300 before this. I got a 2006 LS 430 with 18K miles.

I am looking for advice in the following area
- Gold emblem - Where should I get the gold emblems and how easy is it to change it myself. When I check that on eBay, they vary between $50 and $260.
- Mats - Car came without mats and this car is White exterior with Tan interior. Where should I get the mats from?
- Spare tire - Car came without a spare tire and I have 18" alloy tires so I wanted to get similar 18" spare tire of 245/45 R18. Where should I get this from?

Appreciate all your advice.

Regards
RN

Welcome to the forum, great to have you join our corner of the Internet.

For the first concern, i'd advise you to be careful of eBay, as many emblems are knock offs. A good source is clublexus' vendor Sewell parts online. You can be found at www.sewellpartsonline.com use CL discount code "CL911M" at checkout.

They are also a good source for your mats, with huge savings in comparison to local dealers.

For the spare, ebay is your best, and cheapest choice.

^^Said it best. Personally i'm not a fan of the gold em's but to each his own. I have all my em's shaved off and it was a pain. There are plenty holes underneath that need to be sanded, welded and painted to have everything looking right. If your gonna take urs off be ready for what your about to get youself into.

I third the option thus far... if you go cheap, you'll get cheap. Expect to pay $200 or so for a full set from OEM Lexus online.

Personally, I used Irontoad.com, but that's because they're in PA and I get my goods in one day using regular shipping because they're so close.

Did you buy your car at dealership or Private Party... Man if you bought at dealer, demand a spare tire and floor mats, what da "F". My boy got 08 Benz few months back with floor mats that didn't match, I don't know how he took that from them... absurd. BTW congrats on 06 White LS430! I found Gold Emblems are not as durable as the chrome... I've had aftermarket and OEM gold emblem back in the day, and they don't hold up, plus Gold is so 90's man... forget that crap!

I was going to say that before... but da man likes his gold !!! Let it be.

Gold emblems, especially the cheap ($50) ones won't hold up more than a few years, if even, so he can always switch back if he doesn't like them.

"I love Gooooooold!!!"

LOL! All this gold package talk I had to do it, the gold emblems do not hold up well over time be it plastic or metal. And when they do go bad they look like hell, I know b/c my last two cars came with it.
