There is no wind noise in either of my LS 430's and I don't believe that wind noise is an issue with these cars unlike the 07's and 08's 460's.

Not with my 06 but I sure heard it in a 07 LS460. It is not anyones imagination. Mine is like a tomb in comparison.

Default Windnoise

The only wind noise in my LS is from within the car. The noise to follow is the inquisition to find the guilty party.

Nothing in my '04. I wish it were some times not so quiet because for Marpolo's statement, I'm usually the guilty one.

You guys don't hear wind noise at any speed? I definitely hear wind starting above 40-50mph.

Original glass all around.

I don't hear the wind when the radio is on and it is much quieter than other cars I have been in.

Also it is sometimes hard to differentiate road noise from wind noise. Do you guys get road noise? And does the road noise get louder as you increase speed?

I have definitely heard road noise and it is usually because of the type of pavement. I would suppose it is a combination of type of tires and pavement that produce it. My wifes Rav4 has BF Goodrich and they are noisy. Of course any SUV tire should produce noise. My tires are Grand Touring type and are pretty quiet.

Only wind noise detected is when I encounter heavy crosswinds. However, if you really want to hear wind noise drive a 07/08 LS460. It is very distinctive rather than the vague noise I occasionly encounter.

Yes, and with all the *****ing, and trips to two dealers, and a glass place, I am resigned to the fact that there is nothing to be done, it was designed that way. My 99 LS 400 was way quieter than this. It comes from the top corner of the A pillar. Sounds like a window was cracked slightly. Strong side winds make it worse. Taped the entire outer edge of the windshield, no difference.

Yes, I do hear wind noise on my 04, and all the other LSs I test drove before purchasing mine, including a mint 06' with 10K mi. It is less than what you will hear on any other type of car, but its still there.

Just returned from a 14 hour round trip to south of Atlanta and did hear some wind noise at 75 mph and up. However, the trip was "sprung" on me, and I didn't have time to clean and dress the 2002 LS430 as usual (done about every 2 - 3 weeks). This includes a complete internal and external vacuum, good wash, followed by at least a qd, window cleaning including the top of all door windows, cleaning inside the door frames and then qd'ing them, dressing the "rubber" (including the window tracks), and making sure there is no "trash" around the hood, trunk, wipers, etc. Usually, at 80 or so, I only get wind noise with strong side winds. BTW, sometimes the externior mirrors will cause wind nise. Did you try driving with them turned in?
