Default Quick Q: Was there Bluetooth in 2004-2006 models?

Hey all,

Sorry about the stupid question, but did the NAVI/ML package support Bluetooth (along with phone book transfer) back in 2004-2006 LS models??

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it comes with Bluetooth. Do you not have your owner's manual?

Just curious as to what has got you interested in an 04-06 LS430? I frankly never considered one until my younger brother got one and I drove it. Wow, there was no going back. Suggest you look for CustomLuxury/UltraLuxury as in the used car market they are only slighty more money than the other trims and have loads of luxury to enjoy. Good luck looking.

I always knew about the quality of the LS. I am looking for a highway cruiser because my job is 70 miles round trip (highway 95%). I am still deciding between a LS430 CL or UL vs. new '09 Avalon Limited (with all options, including NAVI and Laser Cruise Control).

Thanks for the suggestions.

Sounds like the exact situation I was in a few months ago. I was looking at the same cars. But after driving the ls430, the Avalon was no longer in competition. The lexus is cheaper, quieter, more powerful, and better looking to me.

What is keeping the Avalon on your list?

My blackberry 8830 works well with Bluetooth. I love it!

Some problem though.
I have hundreads of contacts in the blackberry but not all of them are there in the LS430. Need to do some digging on why.

Once I went somewhere and turned off the car. The phone got locked and I couldn't do anything without rebooting it. Again need to do more research.

Any clues?

i have a g1 and my wife ran in the grocery store so i busted out the manual and was syncing them up and it synced but i was unable to receive any calls when i used another cell to call mines that was synced with car. the calls would come in, but i couldn't figure out how to answer them with the car instead of the phone, and then as soon as i turned the car off and back on it wouldn't auto sync with the phone again, i figured i was doing something wrong and haven't looked at it since then.

i use this car for a 60 mile round trip commute everyday 93% highway and it kicks ***. i average about 26 mpg also during my m-f commute.

I'm on my 2nd phone that works with the BT in the 04-06, my 1st cell was a Palm Treo 680. I transfered my entire contacts into the car, now i'm using an iPhone 3G that works even better than the Treo. I love the 1-touch dialing too, one thing I notice diifferent from our Gen 4 vs the Gen 5 in the wife's RX her phone will ring thru the car speakers as well as her phone.
