Default lexus link disable

Hi, I recently got my ls and I don't know what is more annoying the car or my daughter repeating "the lexus link is not active, please contact your lexus dealer" I would love to disable this myself.
I searched around this forum and others and found only some info https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...ror-msg-4.html
there is no other comments of the success of this. Has anyone else done this or can verify it. I'm a bit leary of frying something out or causing more problems

Thx

Shawn

If it is not an UL or CL then there is a fuse that will do the trick very nicely. The fuse is located on the LEFT side of the trunk floor and controls power to the LexusLink system.

Just remove that fuse. This is obviously easily reversible. With the UL or CL, that fuse also supplies the rear seat controls so that would be problematic obviously.

For something like this, I think the dealer would deactivate it for free since they don't offer Lexus Link subscriptions anymore.

What year is your LS?

I just bought an LS and had to pay the Sacramento Lexus dealer $65 to disable it.
