Soo.. now what? [replaced cigarette lighter outlet fuse]
Uh...
I finally got the time to replace the cig outlet fuse plug on my 2009 lexus is250.
haha.
Seemed easy enough, located on the passenger side, found the little white door underneath.
Found 2 15A fuses in the middle row. Checked one 15A fuse, not blown. Must be the fuse to the glove compartment box outlet.
And THEN.... I'm trying to remove the other 15A fuse.
Albeit it's in a VERY weird positioning. And I'm tall. My technique is in the hips. You just gotta get on one knee and get super low and use your left hand to get the pliers in there.
I have those skinny pliers and didn't have any issues removing fuses. However, I think this one must have FUSED (get it? haha) literally to its holding compartment.
I couldn't for the life of me remove the fuse with pliers. And now I ruined the shape of the fuse from grabbing onto it so much. I tried wiggling, wiggling from the side, pulling with all my might. I tried to fit the pliers on the sides of the fuse, but the fuse fits perfectly so there isn't space.
So now i'm left with a jammed 15A fuse that doesn't even look like a fuse anymore.
HOW DO I REMOVE IT?!?! I want to use my cigarette lighter to smoke my doobies.

Dont smoke doobies before working on your car.

I did the exact same thing yesterday and the little yellow removal tool wasn't fitting enough to grab the fuse. I used a small flathead to wedge the fuse out enough that i was able to grab it with my hands the rest of the way.

haha. I meant the middle compartment.
I have needle nose pilers but they are a little bigger than the super thin ones. I should try that.
Small flathead to wedge it in between the white plastic to create space... MMMMMMMMMMMM
Sexy. I'm gonna try that.
