Radio Won't Work
I am a new owner of a used 430 that I recently purchased. The vehicle has 97K miles but I am used to cars with miles as I drive a lot. I have driven Acuras for 20 years. My last 3.5 RL had 260K when I sold it. My partner has been a Lexus owner for a dozen years and convinced me to come on over.
The 2001 has the Mark Levinson package but I cannot get it turned on. I THINK it was on whne I first bought the vehicle(yesterday) ....but not sure. I the Lexis Link I beleive has not been deactivated as well.
So I am trying to get the vehicle history since the guy I got it from has nada. Will the dealer be able to handle these matters or a they pretty simple?
Lastly I have a power lock on the passenger side that does not work.
I love the ride of this car.
Thanks

The 2001 model vehicles with the Levinson audio had amplifier problems. The design issue was apparently fixed for 2002+ models. Search the forum here and you'll find more details. If the amplifier is broken, it will need to be replaced with a new one. It's an all integrated unit that is behind the rear seats and isn't considered to be repairable (at this time) by any general repair shops.
Ask your dealer for details - they'll know all about this.

Welcome aboard.
Since the amp was mentioned, your other problem regarding the malfunctioning door lock is the "door lock acutuator". Very pricey at the dealer ($hundreds) , but if you can buy the motor for a couple of bucks ($3'ish) and replace that yourself.
Do a search for "door lock actuator"

Thanks for the info on the pwer locks
I have been palying around with the Diagnotic screens and note that when I push "Audio" is reads " Off". How do I turn it back on?
Secondly , could this affect the radio as well?
Thanks
