Well the outers are going to be different too, strictly to the fact that they are LED where the 01-03 are not.

I on the other hand had an 04-06 ecu....which i just plugged in and used that. That solved all my problems. Hope that helped.....
So you swapped the main ECU from 04-06 or is there a separate ECU just for the tail lights?

Do you have the part # by chance. Also was the hood liner and trunk lid liner the same for the 01-03 as that 04-06?

Great looking car and a great looking conversion! I'm enjoying my '04 LS430 for about 5 months now. What a great car. All i've done so far is add a couple of small wings to the trunk lid and rear window and a wind deflector for the sunroof. Gonna have a pin stripe painted on the sides in silver to match the wheels.

Default Nice!

Hey junjdm I'm trying to find led tails for my 01-03 430ul but from this thread if I'm reading this correctly, I could change the stock trunk with a 04-06 trunk and buy the 04-06 tail lights and the line up with the stock bumper should line up? Please and thanks for the help

Bump, no answers on the rear? Could I change the 02 trunk lid to the 04-06 trunk lid and change the tails to the 04-06 tail lights? Will the fitment be good? Or will it be off or gaps and what not.

Default Facelift wiring

So does anyone have the wiring for the facelift? Going from 6 pin on the original to 4 pin on the facelift? I saw the OP said something about a module but that is debunked lol spent 3 hours in the junkyard looking for one :P

Got my facelift lights and the trunk but can't hook it up to the 2003 plug and no idea how the lights are the same with 2 less wires!

Much appreciated for the bump! Since this is the "official" conversion thread I am hoping I am in the right place. If anyone has info on the wiring for the tail lights I really need that got a trunk and tail lights just sitting here ready to go! Got the JDM side mirrors in and need the facelift done before I pay a crazy tariff on this kit I need from Japan

I would try and figure out the power and ground wires first from the 4 pin with multimeter. I didn't know the 04/05/06 LED tail lights were wired differently.
Checkout this thread - someone posted the wiring diagram.
