Default Datasystem & settings 7 8 and 9 on 20's ??

Hello everyone,

I need help.

have 20's on and I set my datasystem on setting number 9 and still have 2 finger gap on front................

what gives....

Junjdm has 20's and at setting 7 he is real close to the tire.....

if you run datasystem on 20's what is 8 and 9 setting.....???

can I tuck tire without manipulating the rod sensors manually????

or is this a case for an ss kit???

Input please

First, have you waited enough time for it to drop all the way? If my settings is on 8 or 9, a little bit of the top of the tire is tucked into the well.

What happens when you drop it to "L"? Is it tucked all the way down?

i manipulated the rods in front and back to the lowest setting.

on 9 the front fender is right at the top of tire.

tires size: 245/35/20

pics at eye level:

i'm thinking ss kit too...

to adobo: can you drive around like that?? i drive around on my 9 setting currently (i didn't adjust any rods, just the controller only) on stock tires (like 50's or 55's i believe) and it is a little harsh but if i lowered it with the rods in the front would my 9 setting then change that much??

also how does the SS kit change how the tire tucks??

andy: hmm i don't know why that is...? i'm as low as the rods/sensors will let me.

sojah: yes i can drive on 9 up front. are you on 20s also? someone correct me if i'm wrong but i believe the overall diameter of a 20" wheel w/35 series tires is bigger than the stock 17/18 with 55 series tires. so if you adjust the front rods, i don't know if the change will be that much. but you will see a diff, at least i did when i adjusted them.

what i know about the ss kit:

They're drop brackets which allow the car to drop an extra -30mm down all around without having to change the comfort of your spring rate or stroke.

Lower your front up to -30mm. Lower your rear up to -30mm.

FYI, the white car on the pix is one with the regular springs, not the air.
The black car on the website is one with the air suspensions. They do mention that the demo car (black) is also lowered at "L" setting with DataSystem controller.(On 19 inch rims). The 3rd pix (White car - after M/C) is dropped just using the SS kit.

SS kit roughly $600-$650
SS Pro kit roughly $900

Do a search on SS kit discussions on the forum. There are plenty.

cool, thanks guys. this shows my knowledge cuz i thought an ss kit was a body kit of some sort even though the ss in reference to a body kit didn't make a lot of sense to me...

now i think i'll look into this option since you say it doesn't mess with the comfort of the spring rate or stroke...

final question, does adjusting the front rods mess with the comfort of the spring rate or stroke?? ideally i would like to drop another inch in the front and half inch in the back without messing with the spring rate or stroke...
