Defintely useful on occasion -- like parallel parking in a tight spot. However, I wonder how much of the time the mirrors stayed switched on in the cars that have had mirror components (whatever they are) wear out. I assume they will cycle thousands of times before failing. If that's so, I'm pretty sure they could be used anytime they are actually needed (for example, anyone who can't back out of their own driveway without seeing the rear tires doesn't need to be driving on public roads ), but I wonder if that's the case. I wonder how many times the failed ones have cycled.

Service Invoice

-Mirrors: $716.76 ea.
-Total Parts: $1,433.52
-Total Labor: $85.45
-Total MISC DISC -$1,518.97
-Total Invoice: $0.00

Dayum----the side mirrors are espensive if you had to pay out of pocket! And that was the total with out sales tax at 7%, anyway i'm sure they are cheaper online if you had to buy them opossed going to your dealer.

I had the ser tech throw the old ones in the trunk, I have swap out the LED's in the mirrors over the weekend.

Tee, I'm glad you got your mirrors replaced under warranty! Mine also has one that it slower than the other. Not really a slacker of a mirror, but they are not in perfect sync with each other. I'm pretty sure that the other ls that I saw also did not have perfect sync with the mirrors. was yours really really slow? or was it simply a little "off"? Your new mirrors are exactly the same?

My old ones were not off just a hair, one of them was really taking its sweet time folding in but not every fold, also one of the the mirrors was slow tilting down. The previous owner must have kept them in auto mode sine he bought it, so I can see how they would wear over time. The new mirrors are in sync, and work like they supposed too.

My 03 ls goes in tomorrow for both mirrors under CPO. The warranty company is sending an inspector to make sure they are not working properly. The cost is over 1100 bucks for the pair. If they give me any problems I will let you all know tomorrow evening. They are also providing a loaner car for the day. Last week it was the driver door lock actuator (566 bucks) and the groaning steering wheel when retracting. Thank goodness for CPO.

Good luck buddy, I'm sure they will take care of you. The mirrors are not cheap by no means, CPO def saved me some $$$$$$.

Anyone know the difference in "A" style and "B" style mirrors? Several used parts are showing up and they have a notation of A or B. I looked under my mirror and it says "A". Didn't know they had different model outside mirrors for the LS430.
