Is yours on every station cause the same thing was happening to me on my 02. Only on one FM station. I pre-set the same station on the second mode or series of station settings on the radio and it seems to be fine on there. I know its not the fix you were looking for but hope it helps.

It is most likely your FM antenna. Check to see that it is plugged in all the way or is not partially cut.

i had a temporary solution to this. When you are on a station and it "jumps" press the seek up/down button once and then go back to the station you were listening to. The jumping should go away. It's a quick and easy temporary fix.

Default FM filter

On the 2001 and 2002 there is a FM filter option. If you go to the
audio menu and find something that says "FM filter" or "AF" you then
can select to have it on or off. When it is in the "on" posistion, it
will cut out any weak FM signals. My dad had the same problem on
his 2002 and when it was turned off, it fixed the problem. Hope this
helps!
