2005 2006 Ultra
The sport suspension also got a bigger rear sway bar and firmer suspension bushings to contribute to the whole sportier handling. So it is a lot more to it then just stiffer springs.
With lowering springs, it matter even more that you get a sport, because with the stiffer/lower springs, you want to have the firmer valving sport shocks to match it.

They are more rare, and if you are locked onto a specific color combo, it becomes very difficult to locate.
You can always put the sport suspension on all the non-sport model though, all the parts are interchangable. The parts itself are pretty inexpensive, each sport shock and that bigger sway bar is only ~$140 or so, the whole set up don't cost more then $1000. So you can always go that route if you can't find a factory sport model.
I myself are currently considering switching out the air suspension on my Ultra to the sport suspension due to the high cost of the air strut.

And I was reading that I need to cut the bump stops, does that make a huge difference in ride quality with springs (in regards to a lowered ls with springs and stock bump stops and one with cut bump stops for more travel)?
Thanks
The sport package is basically a suspension package. The UL has its own suspension package (the air suspension). They are different. You can't have both and you can't mix and match.
I don't know this as a fact, but I don't believe you have to cut the bump stops. All lowering springs for the LS430 don't slam the car down that hard to bottom out on the bump stop.
Off topic, but sounds like you know the deal! If I just get some Eibach springs, how is the ride? I have had all my cars for the most part lowered so I am not in a fantasy land.

That said, it appears that you are set on Eibach. Don't get me wrong, I have gravitated to Eibach on my previous cars as well. They have been around for ever, they are quality, and they are not that expensive. The issue I have experienced is that just changing out your springs typically leads to quicker stock shocks degradation. In my opinion, it is best to change the springs and shocks out and looking at the different suspension options out there in the market today, you would be better served to not just change the stock springs with Eibach springs.
I found it very odd also, since Eibach make lowering springs for 99.9% of the cars out there, but not for the LS430. I guess it make sense, very few people just want to lower the LS430 slightly, it either stay stock or be put on the ground with air bags.
J,
Here is Eibach's application chart for Lexus, they even have it for the RX!! But not the LS

After we got out of the Ultra, we drove another LS with the sport suspension and then went out and did the same thing. The conclusion of the seller, my wife and myself was "wow, this big thing really handles."
So that's the car we wound up buying.
Still, the smoothest and most comfortable cars I have ever driven.
i went from a gs400 to a UL ls430, i can definitely tell the difference in handling between these 2, but could someone describe briefly or not briefly the difference in driving feel between the UL ls430 and the sport ls430?? i have always been curious of this. thanks, and btw i keep my ul in sport mode, not sure if this does anything but i feel that it bounces (like a big cadillac going over some woops) a little less...
