Try and see if your nail gets caught in the scratch if it does then you have to paint,if it does'nt then take it to a detail shop and have them do paint correction on the car it'll set you back anywhere from $150 & up depending on wher you go....but first see if your nail gets caught in the scratch.

Worse case scenario your gonna have to paint

I've heard of it done. Results vary depending on who'se doing it and the color of paint. Some colors hide better than others. This way you can still see the scratch , but not as much. Also, since you don't have clear cote over the new paint, it is a temorary solution. Something like that dealers do prior to sellingn the car.

No majic bullet here.

^ yea i think that way would be a good option...plus its probably cheaper and not having to repaint the entire side if its deep. Do you have pics of how deep it is?

Yeah, Brooklyn sux (haters). My whole rear bumper is scratched and scuffed within 3 month of ownership. One ******* parked in the back of me and while in the process clipped my rear corner - nasty 3 big scuffs. Well his fender took a real beating by my foot .
Try to go to 36th st Collision in brooklyn. They do good job. But ask the price first and do not leave any deposit. If you want pm me.

many times, scratches do not make it to the paint and only the clear coat is affected. this can be repaired at the body shop much cheaper than repainting, as they only have to sand down the clear coat and reapply.

I have had paint chips on the hood of my car repaired this way. It looked like it was down to the paint when in fact it was only the clear coat that was chipped.

Good luck.

Whoever did that will get thiers someday. KHARMA

Sorry to hear you got your car keyed. Some options include:

Filing a claims with your insurance company - they will cover the repainting.

Depending on how bad the scratch is you can always have a body shop wet sand her and then buff her out. This option should only be done by a body shop and not just an Auto Detailer.

I strongly suggest not using touch up paint. Get it done by professionals no matter which rout you take. Good luck

HAHAHAHAHA, i wish that was the case. Some people want us with cars that they desire to feel a bit of misery as they do not having such cars. You know the saying, misery loves company. I use to let it get to me but, by the 3rd time I just repaired it and carried on like it never happened.

Face it, when your car is keyed the intent is to ruin your day by harming your car. I figure now, why give them the satisfaction. That was funny about the lawn though! HAHAHAHAHA!
