Default Moonroof gone Nuts - Need Help!!

I had been away for two months and left my LS430 in my garage. Yesterday, I went to go get the car and the battery was dead. I jumped the car and it started right away. I let it warm up a little and then took it for a slow ride to get all the juices going.

After about 10 minutes, I hit the tilt button on the moonroof and it went up, but started making a grinding noise and I fiddled with all the buttons until it stopped. Then all the buttons were dead for a few minutes. I then tried to tllt it back down and it went down, but then slide all the way open. It then hit the button to slide it closed, and when it got to the end, it tilted up. This kept happening and I could not close the roof. All the buttons for the roof control went nuts. I finally turned the key off at the split second it was in the closed position and left it parked like that.

I am afraid to bring it to the dealer, because, no matter what it is, he will say $2,000 please and I cant afford that money right now. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what could have caused this? I have not had any problems with it in the past.

Thanks for your help.

I would disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect and try again..

Search for "window calibration".

I think it involves rolling all 4 windows down and all windows up.

If I can find it, I'll check back-maybe someone else can chime in.

exactly what he said. The sunroof has similar "calibration method". This is normal after the battery dying. So relax.
