When I insert my key the steering wheel comes out like normal but when I take the key out and it retracts it makes a loud noise sounding like it needs oil or something? Does anyone else have this problem? Do you think i need to add some grease?
Yeah, I just started having this same problem a week ago. Its not that serious, but I would like for it to have no sound again. I have a 01 LS430 by the way.
I had the same issue corrected by the dealer. They indicated that their was a recall on a part within the steering column. Give your local dealer a call and have them research.
Mine did this as well. All you need to do is get a spray lubricant that you can insert a small straw in the nozzle, and extend the column all the way out and spray the exposed portion of the column and you'll have no noise for many years to come.
