Default Experiences with Autolenders.com in NJ ???

Just curious, I have gone there and everything seems legit, except that they're telling me that the prices are fixed by "their banks" and not negotiable. Who has dealt with and bought an LS430 through Autolenders.com in south Jersey?

I'm looking at a '04 LS430 CL at $28.9K or a '05 LS430 with CL, 18" wheels, and Smartaccess for $32.9K and these prices seem high to me at the current rates, but they are relatively low mileage (38K and 28K respectively).

I am leaning towards the '05 only because it has the smartaccess and we sort of have gotten spoiled by a recent ES350 loaner we got with the push start.

It's a little hard to compare East coast and West, but that's about 2 or three thousand over asking price from what I saw 2 months ago in the SF Bay area.

I bought my 04 LS430 CL from AutoLenders in Toms River almost 2 years ago. While their prices seemed average-to-a little high, they had a great selection of really clean cars. I've never enjoyed dealing with dealerships, whether new or used, but this was certainly the best used-car experience I ever had.

The car has been great, with no problems, and I'd certainly buy from them again. I like the place.

Actually, just saw a '04 UL for $28995 and 29K miles and they're offering $1000 gas card. So did you purchase without negotiating anything as they've told me, or they were somewhat flexible?

Thank you.

They wanted $38K for the 04 CL (29k mi), and were giving me $13k for my trade. I found they wouldn't bargain with the price, but would bargain on the trade, giving me $1k more on the price of the trade-in, effectively lowering the price and saving me on these damn NJ taxes.

That being said, I have NEVER felt that I got a bargain when buying a car - EVER. So, the bottom line is that I was generally happy with the experience, and VERY happy with the car, and that my experience has shown that bargaining can be done with them, if only in the form of trade-in value.

I don't have a trade-in, which puts me in a strange spots of having nothing to negotiate on the outbound side. Anyway, thanks again for the info.

Thats where i got my LS from. The one in willamstown off of 42. There prices are a tad above average but look at it this way, you get what you pay for. My LS has been nothing but enjoyment. No problems or nothing. They have the most extensive selection of mint condition LS's i've ever seen. I did go in saying that whatever the price was i wanted an even number. After haggling a lil the salesman gave in. I saved a few hundred bucks and got a free oil change out of the deal. So they can differ from their plan but not much. Hopefully you can get a better deal than me.

Much luck...

I purchased 2 cars from Autolenders (a 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS - back in 2004 with only 17,500 miles) and a 2003 Lexus RX300 - back in 2006 with only 20,500 miles). Yes, their cars may be a bit on the high side in price, but they have exceptional vehicles in stock (not to mention low mileage). It's hit and miss when it comes to their pricing. It is also true of their "no haggle" pricing. However, on both counts, I had a very pleasant experience with this franchise. Both cars have had no problems and were very clean.

I will be purchasing a 2005 LS430 in Jan/Feb 2009. I am favoring Autolenders to make this purchase, however, I will also look elsewhere as Autolenders has not reduced their price on the 430 to current market value.

It looks like autolenders has reduced their prices on LS430s in the last 3-6 months. When last I looked there was rarely anything under $30k. Now they have plenty from $25-30k. Would you say they are still priced over market value?

Why does it seem that autolenders has plenty of LS430s but Lexus dealers tend to load up on RX and not many LS. I rarely see more than a couple LS on NJ dealer websites, many times they have 0.

Does autolenders take trades? I have a 12 year old Maxima I would either need to trade or sell private.

i took a look at autolenders when purchasing my ls430. I do believe that they have good vehicles in stock. It is clear that they are very selective when picking cars to sell from there dealer to maintain a good reputation. The only reason why i did not purchase from them is because they would not bargain with the price on any vehicle that they had in stock. I bought a UL with mileage that was higher then their average vehicle for about $13k less then they were selling the same car for although their car had lower mileage. If the car was well taken car of then, IMO it really shouldn't matter taking into account how reliable lexus vehicle are. I would "NEVER" purchase a car at the asking price. There has to be room for negotiation especially in this economy. Trust me they are making "alot" on the vehicles that they are selling. But if you want peace of mind and the prices don't really matter to you then i say go for it..

I finally got my '04 back in Oct. from Autolenders and they did very good with the financing rate (competitive, not great) as well as being professional. The deal with "no dealing" is that they can deal with your trade in car and how much to give you, but as for negotiating on what they have in stock, I think it's pretty much if you're first time customer, no deal... if you're repeat customer, then it seems they're more likely to entertain negotiations.

I believe they will take your Maxima in for trade. They probably won't turn around and try to sell it there, but would just either scrap or bring to auction at that point.

My wife has the "twitch" to get an RX350 (2007-2009) to replace our '99 RX300 and we're looking at their inventory now. Seems they're running around $29K for 30-40K miles on the vehicles. Wow, can't imagine paying more for a RX350 (although it's newer) than an LS430.

Another member here from NY bought his car from there and from what I recollect he had seemed to have had a decent experience there! Yes, they do have a wide range of cars to choose from....

They do have a great selection. Just be careful with some of the cars there, as they do get their bumpers resprayed (from rock chips). Just make sure there's no overspray or avoid those cars in general.

I called them and was going to drive up there from Washington DC to look at a car that I though was a bargain. However I decided against it once I realized that the car they wanted to sell me had no NAV...Their prices were in need of lowering once I noticed that.
I would suggest you talk them down no matter what...they need to sell and times are hard from most dealers so you have the power. In fact if they do not go down on the price then wait and find another car.
I noticed that in the mid west you will find these cars a bit cheaper and from calls I made they were willing to work the numbers if they knew you were coming from far to buy. That all depends on how much you care about negotiation and the hassle of shipping a car which can cost anywhere from $250-$800.
I decided on buying one from a dealership that was CPO because if anything went wrong with the NAvi I did not want to pay for it...it costs alot for that part. If I was gonna buy from a non lexus dealer I personally was not going to get the Navi or the ultra lux type of LS.
However having all the bells and whistles will help your resale I guess.
Also make sure the car was not in an accident. I have heard of cars that were in an accident and it was not as silent as they are supposed to be. If it was in an accident make sure the price is very low.
Cheers,
Ian
