Is the Variable air suspension only available in the UL package for the 2001-2006 ls430. Im in the process of looking for one to buy and it seems from all the info I gather the UL package has it. Would it be possible for hte Modern package to have the Air suspension? Thanks for your help.


Which button is the height controller. I've seen a buttom near the shifter that has a up and down arrow. If that is the button, does that impy it has air suspension? Im trying to buy one with air suspension and could save money on not having to buy the UL package.

nope, I have the Custom Luxary, and I have AIR....

 

So whats the best way for me to tell if it has it or not online. Some dealres don't know and only state the air if they mention the ultra package. Anyother package they never mention air.

One way is to see the sensors on the bumper. If its 01-03 LS430 or another way is inside the interior above the shifter. It should have shock adjustment button, that says Normal or Sports mode. Another way is if it has black interior, the woold will be this dark cherry color. Thats for teh 01-03 model. That I know of....now 04 and up, I would ask about the shock button above the shifter....

 

So I am assuming the height button if for the air suspension. Is that where the button is usually located? Could it be located anywhere else depending on the package?

 

Thats exactly it, all packages w/ the AIR will have the button there. And no where else! So if is there...then you have AIR.....or the car has AIR

 

I have a separate air ride question,

If the car goes on a lift do you need to shut something off?

I had a Lincoln that I needed to turn off a button in the trunk whenever it was put on a lift, or it screwed up the air ride.
