So I am looking to buy a car when I move back to cali from ny. I am going to be driving on la roads, so I am looking for a comfy car.

I have been looking on autotrader nationwide, and most of the cars that I am looking at, trying to find a Custom luxury (if i can find one), dark interior, with around 50k or less miles, all seem to be priced around 29-30k.

I know, from reading these forums, that the ls430 market is very soft and I know I can get a good deal. I am hoping to not have to pay any more than 25k. Is this realistic? Can I negotiate a 30k car down to 25k? I would rather buy the car from somewhere other than the northeast or chicago.

From buying a car a couple years ago, an x5, I know that autotrader prices from dealers are pretty inflated, and especially now with the soft car market, it seems that "asking" prices should be a lot lower. I am paying cash for the car.
