Default P0440 engine check

folks
i have the P0440 dianosed error (evap control somthing) by lexsus dealer
is it serious thing
they said takes time to check everthing
they swtiche it off (resit) but again came today
i read few post and many were saying (gas cap) where is this located,,,sorry i am dumped
the car is ls430 model 2001
i replaced air filter in last service, fuler filter, a hose inlet to the airfilter

geez, I suggest you let the delaer handle it, it seems that all you could do is make it worse...not trying to be mean,,,,just realistic...good luck

When my check engine light came on due to the gas cap my boi from toyota told me to unlug the negative wire from the battery for 10 - 15 minutes and the light came off. Make sure that you open the gas cap and tighten it back up till it clicks a couple of times before you unplug the battery (only the negative wire)-The gas cap is the one you take off when you pump your gas
