Default 100k service questions

Well, I am closing on 100K on my 02, and was wondering besides timing belt, what other parts I need to check or change? I was told changing water pump, camshaft seal is recommended, how true is that? What about putting in some new spark plugs? any recommendations on spark plugs? One last thing is I know I will do oil change when I do the timing belt, anyone ever try seafoaming method? TIA

Almost any Lexus Dealer has a web page with the listed items that need replacing at all mileage intervals. There may also be Certified Independent Lexus shops in your area that are worth considering. Normally the timing belt and water pump are replaced at the 90,000 mile service. Pushing to 100,000 is acceptable. The sparkplugs are normally changed at the 60,000 mile service.

Default May not needto do everything

The 90,000 mile service on my 04 LS430 as per the dealer entailed replacement of the spark plugs, timing belt, trans flush, tire rotation, lube the differential with a lithium grease etc. Totaled to about $1912. Lexus tends to like the preventative maintenance approach to things meaning according manufacturer suggestion they'll have you replacing everything and anything usually well before it's time. Spark plugs, in my opinion tend to be a big deal, it's just easier on the start up, firing system etc with new iridium plugs in the car. If it's been more than 50k miles since you've replaced the plugs, go with the preventative maintenance approach and just replace them.
*I had a mazda millenia (1995) that I failed to replace the spark plugs for....one of the spark plugs burned off, fell on the piston cylinder head and melted a hole through it causing an oil-gas mixture in the car....since then I've been quick to maintain the highly used parts of my car...especially the LS430 engine that can easily last 250k plus miles if cared for appropriately.
