Default Fujita Intake

Has anyone used or know of anyone that has the fujita air intake for the 04-05 ls 430s. I was scrolling through their website and see that there's a appliction for the respected model year.

Just got one on order. On thier site, it says that it gave a gain of +6 Horse and +15 Torque on an 2001. To me that seems like some good numbers to throw down.

i have the INJEN CAI for my 03 LS430. still sitting in the garage, and waiting to installing it.

adding intake is really not going to add much horsepower if any. may get a quicker TB response and more RPM at top, but if any, maybe 1-3 hp . . . .
it does sound throaty thou.

btw, fujita was started with peeps who left INJEN. the product is just about the same, except for the welds on the fujitas are showing up cracking on other vehicles. pretty sure they got that bug out by now.

finally got the intake installed for free by my tech while getting my 60k done. the intake sounds good and as you step on it, it has that throaty growl sound to it and it seems to have more at the top end for it being a shorty.

I too added a Ingen intake on my 04 LS430. I picked it up from my friend used who was running it for a short period on his 02 SC430.

It's awesome and I love it. It's quiet at idle but right around 3k rpm and up you can hear the V-8 scream.

Wondering how you installed the intake without having to cut the corner of the engine cover. I had to grind away some of mine.

i actually like how you trimmed your cover. my cover is just sitting/resting on top of the tube, i was going to trim it this weekend and also i was going to fab a radiator cover/shroud to hide resivor, radiator, etc.

Thanks. I grinded it down SLOWLY on the grinding wheel. Took me a few tries till I got it just right.

Funny how you mentioned custom fabbing a radiator cover. I was planning on doing one myself. I'm just to damn lazy to do so.

Naw. Sorry man. That's the only pic I have of the intake.

On a side note, I do have before and after pics of my Tein CS and Fabulous grill.

bippU and teamplayer :
do you guys have an exhaust set up on your cars as well? or is it just the intake itself? is it okie to just put the intake on w/o having a aftermarket exhaust system? will be noticable in sounding?

thanks
