I have a 2004 LS430 with just over 15k miles. This morning I started the car and I got this message "Maintenance Due Soon" (or something to that effect). I look it up in the book and it says that this will come on if it has been more than 4500 miles since the last oil change. It also tells you to reset the mileage data after each oil change.
I just had the oil changed and I guess the place did not reset the mileage data.
I did not see instructions on how to do this in the book. Does anyone here know how to do this?
Thanks, but I already reset the trip odometer after every fill-up (A and B). Also, I do not have NAVI. I am thinking that there must be something else.
You turn off the trip meter, by hitting the TRIP/A/B button till it turns off.
Then with the car off, hold those two buttons, reset, and trip, and start the car while holding them for a few seconds. You will see a msg that says it has been reset.
Btw, its in the manual if you look closer.
That red triangle realllllllllly gets to me. I couldn't stand watching it flash.

What I did was print out these instructions last time and put the paper in my glove box - since I go to JiffyLube or wherever to get the oil change they never reset it. That plus the tire rotation reset thing too...
i dont have a manual for my car yet. my light is on and im a little over 70k on a 04 430ul. can someone tell me whats the scheduled maintenance for that mileage..
